Grant Requests for 2016-2017 due

It is time to put your District Grant request together! The deadline for submitting your district grant request for 2017-18 is June 1. This is a change from the original deadline of May 15 and gives you more time.
 
The total DDF available for District Grants is approximately $60,000. The maximum match from the district is $3,000, with a minimum of $1,000, equal to the club contribution.  
 
Announcement of awards and recipient clubs will be made in July.
 
Final Report forms will be made available through this site and should be filed as soon as your project is completed.  Reports will be due May 1, 2017.
 
There is a Microsoft Word document available on the link above and on the district website for submission of your requests. We are no longer using the ClubRunner Grant module, as it is far from perfect. There is also a pdf document available, but it has issues. If you submit the grant request using the Word document, you will need to have it signed, and then scanned and sent to me.
 
We will analyze the grant requests, using the club’s contribution to the Annual Fund over the past three Rotary years. Since this year is not closed, we will look at year-to-date contributions, but that would be used as a secondary guideline.
 
I am handling the grant requests and Bobby Chapman, from Beaumont Spindletop, will close out the grants. The deadline for completing your grant and submitting the paperwork to Bobby is May 1, 2017.
 
This is the first year for Bobby and me as Grant co-chairs, and we are following in the large footprints of Barb Emery. We’ll be happy to help wherever we can!
