Peace, Polio and Participation at Rotary District 5910 Conference
District Governor John Hathaway’s 3 Peas in a Pod theme is also the cornerstone for his conference:  Peace, Polio and Participation. The Woodlands, a master planned community, the venue for this year’s district conference, is an escape from the everyday for our guests and an inspirational backdrop where all people can live, work, play and worship.  Set at The Woodlands Waterway beginning Friday, April 5 and ending on Sunday, April 7, the conference opens Friday night with a concert by songwriter and recording artist Max Stalling.
Rotary is not just about service above self – it is about having fun.  At this year’s conference, you will hear from several inspiration speakers:
  • Peace - Astronaut Col. Michael E. Fossum logged 194 days in space with other people from different nationalities and cultures;
  • Polio – Rotarian Ann Lee Hussey shares her story and passion for the eradication of polio; and
  • Participation – Travis Hathaway is an animator at Pixar Animation Studios, which fosters a culture of participation and collaboration.
A Kid’s Track with activities and special guests is also available, so bring the family!
