The Downtown Palestine Rotary Club recently rolled up their sleeves to support a local nonprofit with a much-needed facelift. Members came together to refurbish and repaint the sign for BASTROP Animal Rescue Center (BARC), giving it a fresh new look that reflects the care and compassion the organization provides.
What started as a weathered, faded sign is now a vibrant welcome for visitors, thanks to the teamwork and dedication of Rotarians. The project not only enhances the curb appeal of BARC’s facility, but it also demonstrates Rotary’s commitment to service and community pride.
By taking on this hands-on project, the Downtown Palestine Rotary Club showcased the Rotary spirit of “Service Above Self,” reminding the community that even small acts of service can make a big impact.
